BZH3 (modified 2343ESR) is high-toughness hot work tool steel for large complex deep-cavity dies, particularly automotive structural part die-casting molds. Produced by EAF+LF+VD+ESR melting, the steel adopts isotropic forging (3 upsetting & 3 drawing) for outstanding impact toughness and thermal shock resistance. With high-temperature grain refinement, its annealed microstructure complies with NADCA 207#2003 (Premium Die Steel Standard) under 500× magnification. Non-metallic inclusions tested per latest ASTM E45: A sulfide ≤0.5; B oxide, C silicate, D globular oxide ≤1.0 each, ensuring high polishability.
BZH4 (2344ESR) is low-S low-P hot work tool steel, produced by EAF+LF+VD+ESR. Non-metallic inclusions are inspected per latest ASTM E45: A sulfides ≤0.5; B oxides, C silicates & D globular oxides each ≤1.0. With 4-upset & 4-draw isotropic forging, it features outstanding impact toughness, good thermal shock and fatigue resistance. After high-temperature grain refinement, its annealed structure at 500× magnification complies with NADCA 207#2003 premium steel specification for die casting dies.
BZH5, also known as W350, is a hot work tool steel with high molybdenum, low silicon and low vanadium. It is suitable for large die-casting molds, high-pressure casting molds and gravity casting molds.The steel is melted by EAF+LF+VD+ESR process and undergoes isotropic forging with three upsetting and three drawing operations.
BZH8 (DIEVAR / 8418) is high-Mo low-Si hot work tool steel with superior resistance to heat checking, thermal cracking, thermal wear & plastic deformation, ideal for die casting, hot forging and hot forming dies. Produced by EAF+LF+VD+ESR. Non-metallic inclusions tested per latest ASTM E45: Type A sulfide ≤1.0; Type B oxide, Type C silicate, Type D globular oxide each ≤1.5.3-upset & 3-draw isotropic forging for high impact toughness, thermal shock & fatigue resistance. After high-temp grain refining, annealed structure at 500× meets NADCA 207#2003 premium steel standard for die casting molds.
